Busy, Busy, Busy

Having a wonderful emotional day today. Today is my last day before I start my semi-mommy retirement!!! This is crazy. I never thought the day would come that I would be taking maternity/adoption leave to stay home with our little one... All the people at my favorite job in the whole wide world got me a cake. I really should have been bringing them a cake, with all they have had to endure with me in the last 3 years. So very sweet. Thank you guys for making this time so memorable and making it so special.

Yesterday spent a lot of the day nesting and making all the final preparations for Gracyn to come home. I had to by baby food. I could not believe I bought baby food. I am such in awe of this entire experience... One of the volunteers at the orphanage sweet Hannah sent new pictures of Gracyn. I think she is growing by the minute. She is just so cute!! This is my favorite picture ... Thank you Hannah... Baby Gracyn bath Time..... Only 3 more days yipeeeeee.

The Home of Gods Love

What a blessing the Home of Gods Love is. They are a blessing not only to my husband and I but also to so many children and other families. Ted and Bev Skiles have been in Taiwan for nearly 40 years. They have a love for the people and especially the children of Taiwan. They are truly doing Gods work. They are Gods Eyes, and Gods Ears when it comes to taking care of these children. There are so many volunteers that take such wonderful care of the little ones, from school aged, infants and toddlers. Its a tough job, but each and every worker and volunteer at the Home is truly a blessing to so many so and David and I are so very thankful for all of them and all of Gods work they do every day. Thank You!

Clean Clean Clean and more Clean!!!

They say nesting is a natural phenomenon of expecting mothers, well I think because we have waited so long during the adoption process, I've taken it to the extreme!!! I mean I have cleaned every nook & cranny in the entire house..( well almost the entire house). I already am thinking about what I want for Christmas this year.... A Maid... I never thought I would ever say that, but 2800 sq feet seems like the size of a football field.

Look at me getting ready to start my new profession... (stay at home mother) and I'm already trying to find someone to do all the dirty work... hehehe

Very anxious the entire day, but thank God going to Church always gives us the peace we need to muttle through...He has blessed us in more ways than we could ever imagine!! This was the last Sunday we would be at Church for the next 3 weeks, because we"ll be in Taiwan...yeah!!! Well off to bed, only have 3 more days of work before the 12 week furlow!!! :) Keep praying for us this week!!!

This is our favorite picture of Little Gracyn. Named after my Nana and Davids Grandmother.

9 Days....I'm Gonna be a Mommy!

I have been sick all week. I guess with all the chaos of trying to get everything ready for Gracyns arrival has worn us down. It started with a scratchy throat, now I have ear infections and I just can't seem to shake it! So many thoughts run through our minds, I thought we were supposed to get all the sleep we can, for when she comes, we hear the sleep will end! Well, I know without saying out loud that David and I probably have not slept all night for over a week. It started with me and now him. Thinking of all that we will see in Taiwan. Our Visa Interview, our last stop before finality of our adoption of Little Miss Gracyn. Our little dog Peanut I think is already noticing that things are changing. You know how dogs are, they have tapped into a sense that us humans just don't have. Poor baby dog....Mommy will always love you too! Off to bed, time to try to get some sleep... Tomorrows a new day!
